AUTO MALL LONGS FOR CAKE RECORD.

How sweet it was - and it may be even sweeter if it breaks the world's record.

On Saturday a 153-foot-long cake was unveiled during a celebration of the Thousand Oaks Thousand Oaks, residential city (1990 pop. 104,352), Ventura co., S Calif., in a farm area; inc. 1964. Auto Mall representatives said they wanted to go all out to produce the world's largest cake to draw attention to what is billed as the world's largest auto mall.

The cake - which took up 20 8-foot tables under a tent on a field fronting Duesenberg Drive - was decorated by children and displayed, with a full ceremony that included a naval color guard.
