VALENCIA - The Romance Writers Association will host a gathering of four award-winning mystery and romance authors, who will share their experiences and their successes in the publishing industry, from 3 to 5 p.m. today at Barnes & Noble in Valencia.

Authors Shannon Donnelly, Rebecca Forster, Charlene Sands and Linda O. Johnson will make an appearance at the bookstore located at 23630 Valencia Blvd., Valencia.

Donnelly has written four novellas This literature-related list is incomplete; you can help by [ expanding it].
This is a selected list of novellas that have gained fame and/or critical and public acclaim.

Forster will be signing her latest legal thriller The legal thriller is a sub-genre of crime fiction in which the major characters are lawyers and their employees. The system of justice itself is always a major part of these works, at times almost functioning as one of the characters. , ``Hostile Witness A witness at a trial who is so adverse to the party that called him or her that he or she can be cross-examined as though called to testify by the opposing party.

The Federal Rules of Evidence provide that witnesses who are hostile, or adverse, can be interrogated through
,'' a whodunit that reveals the challenges of the criminal system. A seasoned writing coach, Forster has led first-time novelists to multiple-book contracts with major publishers.

Sands writes both historical and contemporary romance, having penned 10 books to date, with a contract to write three more. Johnston will be signing her latest release, ``Lawful Engagement.'' Her first published fiction appeared in Ellery Queen's Mystery magazine Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine is a monthly digest size fiction magazine specializing in crime fiction, particularly detective fiction. Launched in 1941 by Mercury Press, EQMM  and since then Johnston has published many more short stories and 13 romantic novels, including romantic suspense and novellas.
