AUTHORITIES SEEKING SUSPECT IN ASSAULT.

Sheriff's deputies are looking for a man who allegedly kidnapped a teen-age girl at knifepoint and sexually assaulted her in a vacant house.

Deputies released a composite drawing of the suspect, described as white, in his 20s, 5 feet 10 inches, with a medium build, short black hair, brown eyes, a mustache, freckles on his nose and cheeks and a cross tattooed on his left hand. The girl said he was wearing a white T-shirt, black jacket and light-blue jeans.

The 16-year-old Palmdale girl was walking home from a store about 7:30 a.m. Saturday when she was abducted, deputies said.

Armed with a knife, the man confronted her in a field and forced her to go with him to a vacant house in the 38000 block of 15th Street East, deputies said.

The man assaulted her over a 45-minute period, deputies said. After he left the girl, she made her way home and notified the Sheriff's Department.
