AUTHORITIES IDENTIFY VICTIM OF TRUCK CRASH.

Authorities have identified a motorist killed Tuesday in a crash on Aliso Canyon Road as Aaron Perry Davis, 59, of Granada Hills.

Davis died just after 2 p.m. Tuesday when his 1997 Chevrolet pickup truck Chevrolet has produced full sized pickup trucks under many nameplates and platforms:
  • Chevrolet Thriftmaster


  • Chevrolet Pickup 1955-57: There were actually two Chevy pickups in 1955. The First Series was a carryover, the new models were the Second Series.
 careened off a lefthand curve on Aliso Canyon Road about 5-1/2 miles south of Soledad Canyon Soledad Canyon is a long narrow canyon / valley located in Los Angeles County, California between the cities of Palmdale and Santa Clarita. Soledad Canyon contains the localities of Vincent, Acton, Ravenna, and Agua Dulce.  Road, California Highway Patrol officials said.

Davis' truck collided with several boulders, officials said. They believe Davis was killed on impact.

 Officer Scott Weldy said. ``There were no skid marks to indicate that he tried to stop but it was a tight curve.''

The overturned car truck spotted by a passing motorist, who notified authorities.

Los Angeles County Coroner's spokesman Scott Carrier said Davis' death was caused by multiple traumatic injuries and was ruled as accidental.
