AUTHORITIES IDENTIFY SLAIN QUARTZ HILL MAN TWO MEN WITH BACKPACKS SOUGHT AS SHOOTING SUSPECTS.

QUARTZ quartz, one of the commonest of all rock-forming minerals and one of the most important constituents of the earth's crust. Chemically, it is silicon dioxide, SiO2.  HILL - A 44-year-old man shot to death in the workshop of his Quartz Hill home has been identified as James Anderson James Anderson can refer to these persons:

Anderson, who worked in construction, was found dead about 11:30 p.m. in a garage workshop of his home in the 4500 block of West Avenue L-11 with two bullet holes in his head.

Sheriff's deputies received a report of neighbors hearing gunshots just before 11:30 p.m., and when they went to the home, found Anderson's body in the workshop near the rear of the home.

Coroner's officials said they were told that neighbors saw two men wearing backpacks leaving the home.

Investigators say they know of no motive for the shooting but are continuing to follow up several leads.

Investigators said they won't release further information for fear of jeopardizing the investigation.
