AUSTIN & WILLIAMS.

Profile

Austin & Williams is a strategic advertising and marketing agency experienced in helping financial institutions acquire and retain core customers with proven programs.

Case study

One of the company's clients, a large metropolitan savings bank, had a problem: Home equity loan volume was stalled at 29 applications per week despite advertising efforts and the lowest rate in its market. Austin & Williams identified a number of issues: The ads missed the mark; there was no direct mail program for home equity loans; and, they weren't really taking applications over the phone.

The company quickly developed a hard hitting, easy to notice and remember campaign. For an extra challenge, they raised their rate two times. Austin & Williams recommended that they take applications over the phone or use an outside service to do it. Loan volume jumped to 62 applications in the next few weeks and stayed there-despite six subsequent rate increases.

The campaign subsequently was updated and a promotional rate adopted, which brought application volume up to 146 a week.
