AUGAT APPOINTS SAM SMOOKLER VICE PRESIDENT AND GENERAL MANAGER OF INTERCONNECTION PRODUCTS DIVISION.

:AUG) today announced the appointment of Sam (1) (Security Accounts Manager) The part of Windows NT that manages the database of usernames, passwords and permissions. "Sam brings with him a wealth of experience as a general manager and, through his prior association with Augat, he is very familiar with Augat's products and customers," said William R. Fenoglio, Augat's President and Chief Executive Officer. "We are very pleased to announce Sam's appointment."

Smookler returned to Augat in November 1994 as vice president of sales and marketing of the Interconnection Products Division. From 1992 to 1994 he was general manager for the passive and millimeter One thousandth of a meter, or 1/25th of an inch. See metric system.  wave products area of M/A-COM Inc. and from 1986 to 1992 he held the position of group vice president at Sipex. Smookler was vice president and general manager of the Alco Switch division of Augat's Interconnection Products Division from 1982 to 1986. Prior to his initial service with Augat, Smookler compiled 20 years' general manager experience. He earned a B.S. of Engineering degree from C. W. Post College of Long Island University.

In assuming his new responsibilities, Smookler replaces Kevin Walker For other persons of the same name, see Walker.
