AUDIOSCIENCE, INC. RECEIVES U.S. DESIGN PATENT

 MINNETONKA, Minn., Sept. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- AudioScience, Inc. (NASDAQ: AUDS), a Minnetonka manufacturer of high tech hearing systems, announced today that they have received the grant of United States Design Letters Patent issued Aug. 17, 1993.
 Patent No. D338,530 covers the AudioScience PRIZM(R) Hearing System faceplate design and cosmetic appearance for the in-the-ear hearing instruments.
 The PRIZM Hearing System consists of a multi-environment, dual channel hearing instrument and a dual purpose remote control. For the user, the remote control provides the capability of adjusting the hearing instrument according to his or her individual listening needs and allows the selection of up to 10 preprogrammed custom settings. For the dispensing professional, the remote control becomes the programming tool for customizing the hearing system when a special programming key is inserted.
 The AudioScience mission is to be the technology leader in the development of medical devices for audiology, otolaryngology and the hearing health care market.
