Jim Ventress, the club's director, said all tickets have been sold for the scheduled 5 p.m. event, which will feature a live auction of more than 100 donated items from area business owners and residents. ``This is my 14th year of involvement and our goal is always to do better than the previous year,'' Ventress said. Organizers said the key to the event's success is usually in the contributions of volunteers. ``Year after year we get so many volunteers who keep coming back to help with the setup, the cleanup and all other facets of the event,'' Ventress said. ``They are people from the community, who are so important and that's what continues to strike us about Santa Clarita, the community supports this club tremendously.'' |
