AU guardians forum features Nadine Strossen, Bill Press, Barry Lynn.Americans United will hold a special forum in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, Nov. 9, to assess the state of church-state separation in America. The event is AU's Second Annual Guardians Forum. It will feature a conversation between AU Executive Director Barry W. Lynn Reverend Barry W. Lynn (born 1948 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania) has been the Executive Director of Americans United for Separation of Church and State since 1992.[1] and Nadine Strossen, president of the American Civil Liberties Union American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), nonpartisan organization devoted to the preservation and extension of the basic rights set forth in the U.S. Constitution. . Strossen, professor of law at New York Law School History New York Law School is one of the oldest independent law schools in the United States. The Law School was founded in 1891 by a group of faculty, students, and alumni of Columbia Law School led by their founding dean, Theodore William Dwight, a prominent figure in the , has written, lectured and practiced extensively in the areas of constitutional law, civil liberties and international human rights. She has served as president of the ACLU ACLU: see American Civil Liberties Union. since 1991 and is the first woman to head that organization. Since becoming president, she has made more 200 public presentations per year before diverse audiences.
