Petty, Vice President-Finance, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary-Treasurer, will retire on Feb. 1, 1997. At that time, Jeffery Strickland, now ATRION's Vice President-Corporate Development and Assistant Secretary-Treasurer, will assume Petty's position and responsibilities. In making the announcement, Jerry A. Howard, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, said "We are very grateful to George for his loyal and dedicated service to ATRION. Since joining the Company 10 years ago, he has been responsible for overseeing the Company's financial affairs and has assisted in ATRION's diversification into new lines of business. George is George I, king of Greece George I, 1845–1913, king of the Hellenes (1863–1913), second son of Christian IX of Denmark. After the deposition (1862) of Otto I, he was elected to succeed on the throne of Greece. a close personal friend and we will miss his advice and counsel."
