ATOFINA to Deploy Pavilion's Process Perfecter Solution; Successful Initial Implementation Leads to Additional APC Projects at the Bayport Facility.

). This marks the third polyethylene project awarded by ATOFINA to Pavilion in less than 18 months.

For this project, the ATOFINA Bayport team will implement Pavilion's Process Perfecter(R) software on two additional lines and four additional reactors. With the latest deployment, ATOFINA uses Pavilion's software to continually optimize the quality and production yield on 4 lines and 6 reactors around the world.

The initial deployment of Pavilion's APC technology took place at the Bayport facility in March 2002. In May 2003, ATOFINA deployed Pavilion's Process Perfecter at its HDPE production facility in Gonfreville, France.

Pavilion's solution for polymers delivers an estimated $6 per ton savings on average through increasing production 2-8%, improving product quality by 50-70% and reducing transition times by as much as 50%.
