ATM Local Telephony Alliance (ALTA) Elects Officers and is Formally Incorporated; Membership Dues Structure Has Been Implemented.

WAKEFIELD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 2, 2000

The results of recent elections were announced today by the ATM Local Telephony Alliance (ALTA), an industry association founded in mid-1999. ALTA's members are next-generation service providers and equipment vendors who want to drive convergence at the customer edge of the local network and at the interconnection in·ter·con·nect

--Vice President - Tom Barsi, VINA Technologies;

--Secretary/Treasurer - Olivia Hecht, Convergent Networks

Companies holding seats on ALTA's Board of Directors are: 2nd Century Communications, Advanced Switching Communications (ASC ASC Ambulatory surgery center, see there ), Convergent Networks, Mariposa Technology, Rhythms NetConnections Rhythms NetConnections Inc.
