 DEVELOPMENT OF CARMEN UNDERGROUND MINE
 MANILA, Philippines, Feb. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Rogelio C. Salazar, president of Atlas Consolidated Mining & Development Corp. (AMEX: ACMB) which suspended work on the Carmen underground copper mine in Cebu last September due to adverse economic conditions, announced that all phases of the project had been resumed in January this year and workers affected by the temporary suspension, had been recalled.
 Salazar estimated that initial production of 10,000 tons a day of copper ore would commence this September 1992. The Carmen underground orebody has an estimated reserve of 266 million tons of copper with a projected production life of 28 years.
