Power-saving ATI chip, double-battery option combine for seven

hour operation on a single charge

ATI Technologies Inc. (TSE:ATY)(Nasdaq:ATYT), a world leader in the supply of graphics, video and multimedia solutions, announced today that Fujitsu has selected ATI's RAGE MOBILITY(TM)-M graphics chip for its ultra-portable FMV-BIBLO LOOX T notebook personal computer.

Aimed at the Japanese market, this design win reinforces ATI's leadership in delivering high performance, low-power graphics chips with superior multimedia capabilities to the notebook space.

ATI's RAGE MOBILITY-M graphics processor with 4MB (megabytes) of integrated SDRAM (synchronous dynamic random access memory), combined with a 800 MHz (megahertz) Transmeta Crusoe TM 5800 processor will power the 3.3 pound, 1.2-inch X 10.4-inch X 7.2-inch notebook PC. Other leading-edge components include a 6X DVD (digital versatile disk) drive, a 10-inch CTFT (color thin-film transistor) 'letterbox' display that lets users view DVD movies in wide-screen format, 128MB RAM (random access memory), S-video out, a 30GB (gigabyte) hard drive, and an optional large-battery that delivers seven hours of performance on a single battery charge, and over fourteen hours by dual batteries.
