ATHLETICS: Montgomery to fight on over ban.


World 100 metres record-holder Tim Montgomery Timothy Montgomery (born January 25, 1975) is a former American athlete and 100 m record holder. He was stripped of his records after being found guilty of using performance-enhancing drugs.  has decided to bypass the US AntiDoping Agency's appeals process and go directly to the highest court in his bid to contest the agency's decision to seek a lifetime ban for alleged drugs offences.

Montgomery's lawyers insist the evidence is inconclusive and the constant leaks of information are prejudicial and have decided to make Montgomery the first athlete to go directly to the Court of Arbitration for Sport The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS; Tribunal Arbitral du Sport or TAS in French) is an arbitration body set up to settle disputes related to sports. .However, their decision cannot be appealed by Montgomery.
