VALENCIA - Olympic hurdler Mark Crear Mark Crear (born November 2, 1968 in San Francisco, California) is a double Olympic medalist in the 110 m hurdles from the United States. In 1996 he was second behind Allen Johnson. Four years later he came in third, behind Anier Garcia and silver medalist Terrence Trammell.  is taking some time off to focus on his business - a company that sells Christian-themed athletic wear.

``I wanted a clothing line that represents more than just a human being's name,'' he said. ``I don't want this to be a Mark Crear thing, it's a God thing.''

Like most new businesses, sales started off slowly, but Crear expects business to pick up now that he is able to put more effort into the company, and now that the holidays are coming up.

``I want it to be a household name like Nike, and to be a positive message in a world that desperately needs one,'' Crear said. ``My goal is to make enough money to do some nonprofit A corporation or an association that conducts business for the benefit of the general public without shareholders and without a profit motive.
