ATHENA Medical Corp. initiates marketing study in Mexico; anticipates strong market with potential joint venture partner for Fresh 'n Fit Padette.

) Monday announced that it has initiated a full-scale marketing study of the Fresh 'n Fit Padette in conjunction with its potential Mexican joint venture partner in Mexico City Mexico City

The study -- scheduled for January 1996 -- anticipates distribution of the Fresh 'n Fit Padette in Mexico through physicians' offices as well as retail avenues. "Although it is premature to anticipate significant sales volume, we believe that is the beginning of a successful sales venture for ATHENA in Mexico," said William H. Fleming, ATHENA's president.

ATHENA expects the study to demonstrate that the Padette will be of significant interest to women in Mexico.
