ATHENA Medical Corp. announces international contracts.


PORTLAND, Ore.--(HealthWire)--April 1, 1996--ATHENA Medical Corp. (Bulletin Board:AFEM AFEM Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal

) Monday announced that it has shipped $144,000 of the company's Fresh 'n Fit Padettes and has received three additional purchase orders from China's largest cosmetic cosmetic /cos·met·ic/ (koz-met´ik)
1. pertaining to cosmesis.

2. a beautifying substance or preparation.

 products manufacturing company located in Shanghai, China. The purchase orders are for $1,413,500 of Padettes to be delivered between June and December of this year. Payments will be made by letter of credit.

The company also announced Monday that it has signed a letter of intent with Pinturas Condor, a large, established consumer products company with headquarters in Quito, Ecuador, for the exclusive distribution of the company's products in Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela and Peru.

Pursuant to the letter of intent, Condor has agreed to purchase at least $895,500 of Padettes during the first three years of the contract. The company expects to enter into a definitive agreement with Condor in the next few weeks.
