ATG Wins $2.2 Million Contract; Company's Services to be Used in Remediation of San Mateo Landfill.

), a leading provider of low-level radioactive and low-level mixed waste treatment services, today announced that it has been selected by the City of San Mateo, California San Mateo is a city in San Mateo County, California, in the San Francisco Bay Area. It is one of the larger suburbs on the San Francisco Peninsula, located between Burlingame to the north, Foster City to the East, and Belmont to the south.  to perform clean-up and remediation efforts as part of the city's East Third Avenue Landfill Closure Phase I Project. ATG's contract with the city of San Mateo is valued at $2.2 million and the company expects its Field Engineering Group to begin work in mid- to late-August with completion scheduled for mid- to late-November of this year.

"Our ability to provide a wide array of high-quality remediation services at a competitive price was instrumental in winning this contract," said Doreen Chiu, president and chief executive officer of ATG. "Our Field Engineering Group continues to provide a significant revenue stream for the company and is a strong complement to our fixed facilities operations in Richland, WA and Oak Ridge, TN."

The contract calls for ATG to provide the following services:

- Clearing and grubbing 34.5 acres of the landfill

- Demolition and reinstallation of monitoring wells

- Scarifying and compacting existing cover soils as foundation

layer

- Installing geosynthetic clay liner A geosynthetic clay liner (GCL) is a woven fabric like material primarily used for the lining of landfills. It is a kind of geomembrane and geosynthetic which incorporates a bentonite or other clay, which has a very low hydraulic conductivity.  over the entire 34.5 acres
