ATG Starts Up Vitrification Facility to Process Thermal Low Level Mixed Waste.

ATG successfully started its first LLMW thermal waste processing on December 31, 2000, achieving a major milestone in the Department of Energy's privatization activities. During the early waste processing phase ATG will process waste while confirming equipment performance, LLMW will be processed at rates up to the maximum permit rate of 350 pounds per hour.
