Additionally, ATG received specific acknowledgement in the report for streamlining its business user administrative interfaces and "beefing up" its reporting and analytics capabilities, as well as honing complex personalization and multifaceted campaigns to deliver a highly specialized solution to customer-centric business-to-consumer sellers. ATG was among the select companies invited to participate in the report.

 the report, an update to the Q2 2005 Forrester analysis of commerce platforms in which ATG was also positioned as a leader for B2C sites, Forrester analyst Tamara Mendelsohn writes that ATG Commerce is an "especially good fit for buyers that are ready to raise the bar for B2C eCommerce...and put their money where their mouth is. ATG has bolstered its core platform through acquisition, partnerships, and development elbow grease to provide additions like natural language search, business intelligence, Web analytics, customer service, and chat functionality...the platform gives customers the ability to deliver relevant, seamless, and profitable consumer-facing eCommerce experiences."(2)

Forrester also writes that ATG Commerce "continues to feature best-in-class personalization and has augmented its core product with sophisticated search merchandising and analytics, making it a good fit for firms looking to run a sophisticated and optimized online business."(1)

In relation to general product strategy, the report states that "ATG has oriented its road map around enhancing the B2C end customer experience through stronger multichannel Using two or more paths for transmission or processing. It can refer to a variety of architectures including (1) multiple I/O channels between the CPU and peripheral devices, (2) multiple wires in a cable, (3) multiple "logical" channels within a single wire or fiber or (4) multiple  support, personalization, and more sophisticated integration of search to support search based merchandising.
