ATG's Chief Scientist Details Major Advances in the BASER and Ie Crystal to International Physics Conference in Taiwan.MONROVIA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 8, 1997--American Technologies Group Inc. (ATG ATG antithymocyte globulin. lymphocyte immune globulin (antithymocyte globulin equine, ATG, ATG equine, LIG) Atgam Pharmacologic class: Immunoglobulin Therapeutic class: Immunosuppressant ) (BB:ATEG ATEG Assembly for the Teaching of English Grammar ) Friday announced that ATG's chief scientist and visiting associate professor at the California Institute of Technology California Institute of Technology, at Pasadena, Calif.; originally for men, became coeducational in 1970; founded 1891 as Throop Polytechnic Institute; called Throop College of Technology, 1913–20. (Caltech), Dr. Shui-Yin Lo, will present results of recent significant milestones in the BASER research work done at Caltech and advancements in chemistry, biochemistry biochemistry, science concerned chiefly with the chemistry of biological processes; it attempts to utilize the tools and concepts of chemistry, particularly organic and physical chemistry, for elucidation of the living system. and biology based upon the Ie crystal to The Second Joint Meeting of the Chinese Physical Societies in Taipei, Taiwan, on Aug. 12-13. Relative to the BASER, Lo's presentation will include evidence of a charged beam, including photographs and scientific results. This technology breakthrough is the result of many years of research and millions of dollars spent on the effort to develop a coherent beam of heavy particles heavy particle n. See baryon. heavy particle A subatomic particle with relatively high mass, especially a baryon. Noun 1. (similar to a laser, which is a coherent beam of light). The presentation reflects data and scientific evidence in a yet- unpublished paper that is co-authored by Lo and Dr. Mitchio Okumura, associate professor of chemical physics at Caltech and the Caltech director of BASER research, and his research team. The paper will be submitted for peer review shortly. To date, Lo has published four peer-reviewed papers on the BASER. Photographs of the beam as generated at Caltech are available. Ie crystals are clusters of water molecules that are stable at room temperature and pressure. The Ie crystal discovered and characterized by Lo will be described and evidence presented on the positive applications of the crystal in the areas of chemistry, biochemistry and biology.
