See: American Stock Exchange : TEC), a leading system integrator and provider of a full line of information technology products and services, announced today it was awarded a $1.4 million contract from the Shenendehowa Central School District The Shenendehowa Central School District is located in Clifton Park, New York, a suburb 12 miles north of Albany, NY. The district is well known in the area for both academics and athletics, and for its large size. , located in upstate New York Upstate New York is the region of New York State north of the core of the New York metropolitan area. It has a population of 7,121,911 out of New York State's total 18,976,457. Were it an independent state, it would be ranked 13th by population. .
The contract calls for ATEC's Technology Integration Services (TIS) division to provide a new district-wide system to modernize Shenendehowa Central's entire communications network over the next 18 months. When completed, the system will link every aspect of the school district, including 9,200 students, 1,500 teachers and staff, and 11 schools, with a new unified messaging system, high-speed Internet access and an integrated phone and data network. To implement the project, ATEC will use data and voice technology from industry-leading Nortel Networks.
