ATALLA ESTABLISHES NEW INTERNET BUSINESS UNIT: GARY SABO NAMED VICE PRESIDENT AND GENERAL MANAGER.

Gary Sabo has been appointed as the Vice President and General Manager of the new group. Richard D'Angelo has been appointed as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Banking and Retail Business Units.

For the past 2 years Mr. Sabo was Atalla's Vice-President for Product Management and Marketing for its banking and retail transaction security products. He came to the Atalla Division from Tandem Computers Inc. where he held various management positions in product marketing as Director for Client/Server and Open Systems Marketing; in international sales and marketing for Asia and Latin America Latin America, the Spanish-speaking, Portuguese-speaking, and French-speaking countries (except Canada) of North America, South America, Central America, and the West Indies.  as General Manager for Tandem's S.E. Asia operations in Singapore; and in strategic planning Strategic planning is an organization's process of defining its strategy, or direction, and making decisions on allocating its resources to pursue this strategy, including its capital and people. . Prior to Tandem Mr. Sabo worked for IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries)  and Procter and Gamble. He holds a B.S. from Purdue University and is a graduate of the University of Hawaii (body, education) University of Hawaii - A University spread over 10 campuses on 4 islands throughout the state.

BANKING AND RETAIL BUSINESS UNITS

Also recently appointed to Atalla is Richard D'Angelo, who will serve as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Banking and Retail. Mr. D'Angelo will manage Atalla's direct sales force whose main focus is on selling Atalla's banking and retail products.

Prior to that Mr. D'Angelo held positions with MasPar Computer Corp., Sequent Computer Systems, Hewlett Packard and EDS (Electronic Data Systems, Plano, TX, www.eds.com) Founded in 1962 by H. Ross Perot (independent candidate for the President of the U.S. in 1992), EDS is the largest outsourcing and data processing services organization in the country. . He holds a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University.

Note: This corrects a previous release which implied that Mr. D'Angelo would be heading the Internet Business Group. Mr D'Angelo's organization will sell all Atalla products through Atalla's direct sales channel. Mr. Sabo's organization will be responsible for all indirect sales channels for the Internet Business Group.
