ATA To Offer Daily Service Between Toledo, Ohio and Chicago-Midway Beginning June 28, 2002.

ATA (American Trans Air, Inc.) (Nasdaq:AMTR), the nation's 10th largest passenger carrier, and Chicago Express Airlines, Inc. (doing business as ATA Connection), today announced plans to offer four daily, non-stop round-trip flights between Toledo, Ohio and Chicago-Midway.

This new service will give Toledo customers access through Chicago-Midway to many of ATA's business and leisure destinations. The service begins June 28, 2002. Customers can make reservations beginning today.

ATA's special introductory fares of $79 between Toledo and Chicago-Midway are available for travel beginning June 28, 2002, to September 18, 2002, and must be purchased by May 31, 2002, midnight (E.S.T.). ATA Connection currently operates 11 Saab 340-B aircraft and will add six more Saabs to its fleet in the next five months. The 34-passenger plane is equipped with comfortable leather seating, convenient overhead bins and flight attendant service suitable for the business or vacation traveler. ATA is currently undergoing a re-fleeting process and, since May of 2001, has taken delivery of 27 new aircraft from Boeing including the Boeing 737-800 (in which ATA was the North American launch customer for the -800 model with winglets) and the Boeing 757-300. These state-of-the-art aircraft, which seat 175 and 247 passengers, respectively, have comfortable leather seats, adjustable headrests, expanded overhead bins and high-tech, drop-down video systems.

    will be imposed on each flight segment of your itinerary. A flight
    segment is defined as a takeoff and a landing. Introductory fares
    are valid for travel 6/28-9/18/02. Tickets must be purchased by
    5/31/02, midnight (E.S.T.). Fares are off-peak, each way based on
    round-trip purchase and are non-refundable. Fares will be higher
    during peak travel times. Seats are limited and may not be
    available on all flights and dates or during high volume periods.
    Not all destinations are served on a daily basis. Flights are
    operated by Chicago Express, Inc. (doing business as ATA
    Connection). Fares are subject to change without notice. A
    passenger facility charge of up to $18 per round-trip is not
    included in the fares. Fares do not include a September 11th
