) has resumed curbside check-in service at Chicago-Midway and Indianapolis International Airports Indianapolis International Airport (IATA: IND, ICAO: KIND, FAA LID: IND) is a public airport located seven miles (11 km) southwest of the central business district of Indianapolis, a city in Marion County, Indiana, United States. .

Beginning today, passengers can conveniently check in their luggage and obtain a boarding pass from a curbside agent by presenting a paper or electronic ticket.

Earlier this week, the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), component of the U.S. Department of Transportation that sets standards for the air-worthiness of all civilian aircraft, inspects and licenses them, and regulates civilian and military air traffic through its air traffic control ) reinstated curbside check-in after security procedures were enhanced. ATA is in compliance with the new FAA requirements and hopes to soon offer curbside check-in at several of its other destinations as well.

Customers checking bags can take advantage of the curbside service. However, some passengers may still be required to check-in at the ATA ticket counter. Passengers are reminded that they should arrive at the airport two hours prior to departure and that only ticketed passengers are allowed beyond the security checkpoints.
