ATA (American Trans Air, Inc.) (Nasdaq:ATAH) is pleased to announce it has been ranked the "Best Performing Medium Airline" (sales of $1 billion to $5 billion) worldwide in the July issue of Aviation Week & Space Technology magazine.

According to Aviation Week, CSFB Holt, a unit of Credit Suisse First Boston, provides an independent analysis of all the airlines in the industry to determine the ranking of the top-performing airlines.

"Being ranked No. 1 is testament to the hard work and unwavering dedication of ATA's employees who have delivered a strong financial and operating performance in spite of the difficult economic environment," said John Tague, ATA President and CEO.
