Dan Kelley is elected to a one-year term as chairman of the board and president of GROWMARK, Inc., Bloomington, Ill. He replaces Glenn Webb, who recently retired. Kelley has served as one of two vice-chairmen on the board since 1998.

DuPont Ag, Wilmington, Del., appoints Howard L. Minigh vice president of strategic planning for its Biosolutions Enterprise. Minigh was formerly president of American Cyanamid Global Agriculture Products.

Karen M. Lade joins Pharmacia & Upjohn Animal Health, Kalamazoo, Mich., as e-business director. Lade previously was an independent strategic marketing consultant in South Bend, Ind.

Bill Mulvaney joins The Angus Reid Group, AgriFood as vice president in St. Louis, Mo. He was most recently with a life sciences marketing research consulting firm. The Angus Reid Group also welcomes Kent Goldie to its AgriFood division in Winnipeg, Canada. Goldie was most recently in market research with AgDecision, United Grain Growers' research and consulting group.

Donald Westerhaus joins Kemin Industries, Inc., Des Moines, Iowa, as marketing communications manager. Previously, Westerhaus was group head of client services for Fruehling Communications.

International Specialty Products, Wayne, N.J., has expanded the responsibilities of Dr. David Pritchard. In addition to being director of marketing for agricultural products, Dr. Pritchard will assume marketing responsibilities for beverage as worldwide director, agricultural and beverage products.

Jerry Chicoine, president and CEO of Pioneer Hi-Bred International Inc., Des Moines, Iowa, plans to retire on Dec. 31, 2000. Richard McConnell, currently vice president of research and development for parent company DuPont's Biosolutions Enterprise, will become president and COO of Pioneer. (Reuters)

Robert Lane, CEO and president of Deere & Co., Moline, Ill., has been elected to the additional position of chairman of the company's board of directors.

Kent Feeds, Muscatine, Iowa, hires Paul Zahl as district sales manager in northeast Indiana and promotes Bob Cox to district sales manager in east central Illinois. Zahl previously served as a territory manager for another feed company in Shipshewana, Ind. Cox most recently served as a district sales representative and Thermolass Block distribution manager.

The International Agri-Center, Tulare, Calif., has hired Jerry Sinift as assistant manager. Sinift was previously general manager of Pioneer Equipment Company's dealership and hardware store.

Latorra, Paul & McCann Advertising, Syracuse, N.Y., hires Chris Pinckney Pinckney. For some persons thus named, use Pinkney. as creative group supervisor. Previously, he was senior art director with another advertising agency in central New York.
