AT CLOSING PEOPLE.Chore-Time Brock, Milford, Ind., has hired Douglas J. Niemeyer as vice president and general manager of its Chore-Time Egg Production Systems production unit. He replaces Mark Lantz, who has been promoted to vice president and general manager of Brock Grain and Feed Systems. Niemeyer was previously president and general manager of ABB's North American Fan Group, Niles, Mich. FMC Corp. has announced several management appointments based on its previously announced pending machinery IPO and subsequent split of FMC into two independently publicly traded companies -- a chemical company and a machinery company. As previously announced, Joseph H. Netherland, president of FMC, is the designated CEO of the new machinery company -- to be known as FMC Technologies, Inc. (FTI). Current senior VP and CFO William H. Schumann, III, will serve as CFO of FTI. Executive VP William G. Walter, the expected CEO of the FMC chemicals company, has announced key appointments to his chemicals management team. W. Kim Foster will serve as CFO of the chemical company and will retain oversight responsibility for FMC's Agricultural Products Group. Edward T. Flynn will serve as chief information officer of the chemicals business. CMF&Z, Des Moines, Iowa, promotes Bill Brewer to senior vice president in its Public Relations Services group, Eric Hasselbusch to vice president in its Client Services group, Brenda Mersch to vice president/manager integrated direct marketing in its Data Web Services group and Penny Barnts to vice president. Barnts is an account group director in the agency's Bridgepoint division. Fort Dodge Fort Dodge, city (1990 pop. 25,894), seat of Webster co., central Iowa, on the Des Moines River; settled c.1846; inc. 1869. Fort Clarke was built on the site in 1850 and renamed Fort Dodge the following year. In a mining and agricultural area, Fort Dodge is a rail and distribution center. Industries in the city pack meat and make farm equipment and fertilizers. Gypsum mills are in Fort Dodge, and the outlying region has extensive gypsum beds. Animal Health, Overland Park, Kan., has hired Dr. Norlyn C. Tipton to its livestock animal division as manager, technical services. He will provide technical assistance to Fort Dodge Health cattle customers and have account responsibility for corporate feedyard clients throughout Kansas, Nebraska and Colorado. Fort Dodge hires John H. Tuttle, D.V.M., as technical consultant with the professional services department. Tuttle will act as a liaison between the customers and Fort Dodge Animal Health. He most recently was owner of an equine/small animal veterinary practice in Bonner Springs, Kan. Donald M. Senechal has joined The Hale Group, Danvers, Mass., as a principal specializing in strategic consulting to the agribusiness segment of the food industry. Senechal brings more than 25 years of consulting experience in agribusiness to The Hale Group. The Hale Group is a strategic management consulting company dedicated to serving clients in the food industry. The Interactive Technology Group of Agri Business Group, Indianapolis, hires Mike Green as project manager, providing process models for all projects, managing project profitability and providing leadership to the IT group. The Implementation Team hires Kirk Terry as project assistant. He will be supporting the training and development process doing editing, research and some content development for Agri Business Group's training products. Grant Gould joins the marketing group of Grober Animal Nutrition, Cambridge, Ontario. Gould will be responsible for the sales of Grober products throughout Ontario and beyond. Grober is the largest supplier of milk replacer products and veal feeds in Canada. Bob Rosene has been elected president of the North American Equipment Dealers Association, Fenton, Mo. Rosene is president of Rosene International, Inc., a Case IH dealership in Perry, Iowa. He is a member and past president of the Iowa-Nebraska Equipment Dealers Association. Stephen S. Nicholson is named senior economist for Doane Agricultural Services, St. Louis. He will focus on livestock marketing activity as an analyst for Doane's Agricultural Report newsletter, a weekly market news, commentary and advisory service; eDoane.com, an internet-based market advisory service; and analyst for Doane's AgServ, an economic forecasting service. Nicholson was formerly senior buyer for the Earthgrains Company, headquartered in St. Louis. He has also served as senior commodity analyst for the Coca-Cola Company, Atlanta. |
