``Probably 130 miles per hour is the best we've done in those,'' Allan said, stifling a yawn. ``I decided I wanted to go fender to fender.''

Allan bought a Legend car - ``basically an old Ford with a motorcycle engine A motorcycle engine is an engine found in a motorcycle, which serves to propel the motorcycle. He traded up to a '78 Oldsmobile Cutlass, dropped a 350 cubic-inch Chevrolet engine in it and went racing.

``I don't think I'm any better a driver than anybody else,'' Allan said. ``It's a real seat-of-the-pants type deal.
