AT&T wins deal from NCR with $115 million global contract.

BASKING RIDGE, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 29, 1997--AT&T today announced it has won a contract from NCR Corporation (NYSE:NCR) valued at $115 million over the next three years for data and voice communications services. AT&T said it won against three other global carriers because it provided the most reliable service and the widest global reach.

Internationally, NCR contracted for AT&T's WorldSource(tm) Frame Relay service to reach its offices in North America, Europe, the Caribbean-Latin America and Asia-Pacific regions. In the United States, NCR also contracted for Virtual Telecommunications Network Services for voice, data and video connectivity.

AT&T WorldSource Frame Relay service offers multilateral high-speed data transfer to more than 30 countries around the world. WorldSource Frame Relay is one in a suite of seamless multilateral WorldSource services offered by AT&T in partnership with 15 other leading international carriers who are members of the WorldPartners Association.

Under this contract, NCR will benefit from one point of contact for all communications needs worldwide including installation, billing and maintenance, and from global volume discounts that take into consideration NCR's total communications spending worldwide.

-- Sales & Marketing profile databases used to access product specifications on NCR's banking, retail and warehouse solutions.

-- Internet and E-mail connectivity to all NCR employees located in more than 1200 offices worldwide.
