AT&T names Antieri to lead strategy in Pacific States.announced that Michael G. Antieri is appointed to the newly created position of president, Pacific States The Pacific States form one of the nine geographic divisions within the United States that are officially recognized by that country's census bureau. There are five states in this division — Alaska, California, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington — and, as its name . Antieri assumes overall responsibility for AT&T operations in California, Hawaii and Nevada. AT&T also announced the appointments of three other region executives today: Lois Hedg-peth is named vice president, Pacific States; Lee Blitch becomes region vice president -- Market Development; and Robert L. "With President Clinton set today to sign the landmark telecommunications bill that ends the protected status of local telephone monopolies, let me add that AT&T will fight hard, at both the state and federal levels, for rules that will make it commercially viable to give our customers a choice for local service," Antieri said. "Clearly, customers want that choice for all their communications needs -- local, long distance, wireless, entertainment, and on-line services."
