"And we're backing up our claims with a guarantee." AT&T will also introduce a reliability guarantee that covers all segments of a long distance call. Under the terms of the guarantee, businesses that experience long distance call completion problems can contact AT&T for problem diagnosis and remedy, even if the problem originates with the customer's local telephone company. The company also announced that it will offer a guarantee on domestic fax calls. Once effective, if an AT&T customer experiences a problem sending a domestic fax, the company will use its unique AT&T Faxalyzer(TM) system and new fax calling center to guarantee the fax's arrival. "Constant improvements in our network and operational processes allow us to offer these kinds of guarantees to our business customers," said Holtz. "Since we first introduced guarantees to our business customers, they have been extremely well received, even though only a fraction of customers have needed to invoke To activate a program, routine, function or process. them."
