AT&T said it now offers encryption between Cisco TelePresence endpoints in point-to-point or multi-point business to business meetings. Users of the AT&T Business Exchange can establish encrypted connections with the intercompany-enabled Cisco TelePresence endpoints deployed worldwide. The encryption status for all rooms is indicated on-screen at the start of a call and on the phone at all times. The solution also offers the following capabilities: enhanced conference controls, enabling users to select the way they see speaking participants displayed through an easy-to-use interface on their Cisco IP phone and control access to the meeting by blocking additional endpoints from joining an established call; Lotus Notes Messaging and groupware software from IBM Lotus that was introduced in 1989 for OS/2 and later expanded to Windows, Mac, Unix, NetWare, AS/400 and S/390. Notes provides e-mail, document sharing, workflow, group discussions and calendaring and scheduling. Domino support, allowing enterprise deployment customers who use Lotus Notes to schedule AT&T Telepresence Solution meetings via their groupware platform; as well as high resolution video sharing See video sharing site. , allowing customers to share 30fps high frame rate content with meeting participants. The AT&T Telepresence Solution provides AT&T or customer-supplied Cisco TelePresence equipment and includes installation, full monitoring and management of the application, remote help desk service and on-site equipment maintenance and repair.
