AT&T Wireless Launches edocs Online Account Management Solution.

Business/Technology Editors

NATICK, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 6, 2002

edocs, Inc., the leading provider of online account management and e-billing solutions, today announced that AT&T Wireless (NYSE NYSE

See: New York Stock Exchange
: AWE) is using its new account management solution to help millions of the carrier's customers easily manage and personalize their accounts.

AT&T Wireless is using edocs eaDirect and eaPay to offer customers the opportunity to personally and securely manage their online account information such as bills, statements, invoices, and other customer data including service features, phone equipment and account profiles. The company also purchased eaPost, edocs' distribution application for publishing online account information to subscriber portals and account aggregators.

When customers logon to the AT&T Wireless site, they now have immediate access to six months of account history once they enroll, totaling more than four terabytes of data. With nearly three million customers visiting the site, AT&T Wireless' next generation application is one of the world's largest online account management deployments in the telecommunications industry.

"Giving immediate, secure and reliable access to customers' accounts is one way to better serve our customers and our business," said Judy Cavalieri, director for AT&T Wireless E-business. "edocs provides our customers with the tools they need to easily personalize and manage their accounts online. These applications have allowed us to significantly increase the number of customers who prefer doing business with AT&T Wireless online."

Using edocs applications, AT&T Wireless deflects thousands of calls from its call center each month -- a result of customers using Internet self-service options to resolve account-related inquiries. Now, customers can securely access account history, drill into and analyze call detail, perform reverse call look-up, and schedule a variety of payment methods.

"As one of the largest online account management deployments in the world, this application demonstrates the unparalleled performance and scalability of the edocs eaDirect platform," said Jim Moran James Patrick "Jim" Moran Jr. (born 16 May 1945 in Buffalo, New York) has represented the 8th congressional district of Virginia since 1991. He is a member of the Democratic Party.

His brother, Brian Moran, is a member of the Virginia House of Delegates.
