AT&T Web Seminar to Ask Small Business Owners, 'Who Says You Have to Learn the Hard Way?'.

SBTV.com CEO Susan Solovic Shares Valuable Lessons to Avoid Common Small Business Blunders

SAN ANTONIO -- To support the growth and success of small business customers, AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) has announced a free one-hour online seminar to help small business owners meet the real-world challenges of small business ownership. Part of an ongoing series of instructional Web-based seminars and training courses available on AT&T's small business Web portal, http://www.att.com/OnwardSmallBiz, the Nov. 8 webinar will offer "Running a Small Business: 10 Overlooked Truths Revealed."

The AT&T webinar, scheduled for 1 p.m. CST on Nov. 8, will be presented by Susan Wilson Solovic, chief executive officer of SBTV.com, the first and only video news and information destination site for America's 25 million small businesses. Solovic will share her vast experience and show small business owners how to avoid common mistakes and successfully prepare their business for future, real-world challenges. Participants can register for the event at http://www.att.com/OnwardWebSeminar.

"Common mistakes have hindered small businesses for years, and it used to be that in order to learn from those mistakes, you would have to experience them firsthand," said Solovic. "This webinar is built to discuss real-world challenges of small business ownership that the textbooks never teach you."

Solovic's career has taken her from television news to the executive ranks as CEO of SBTV.com. She is a nationally recognized keynote speaker, an award-winning journalist, a lawyer, and a best-selling author. Her books include Reinvent Your Career: Attain the Success You Deserve and Desire and The Girls' Guide to Power and Success. Solovic's latest book, The Girls' Guide to Building a Million Dollar Business, was released this month.

In addition to free Web-based seminars, the AT&T OnwardSmallBiz portal provides small business owners with a daily feed of small business news from SBTV.com; tips on starting, managing and relocating a small business; money-saving promotional offers from leading brands that serve small business needs; the ability to submit questions and to receive one-on-one advice; information on AT&T products and services; and easy access to AT&T's online support, e-bill and account-management services.

Since the launch of the site, AT&T has seen a tremendous response, with more than 100,000 unique hits each month. More than 3,500 individuals have attended at least one of the four webinars offered on the site this year, and 95 percent of attendees surveyed responded that they find the sessions beneficial and will attend another.

The AT&T OnwardSmallBiz portal complements AT&T's industry-leading portfolio of communications products and services for small businesses. This portfolio includes voice, broadband Internet, messaging, wireless and advertising and search-engine-marketing solutions through AT&T Real Yellow Pages and YELLOWPAGES.COM. Other solutions include business e-mail services, Wi-Fi service, Web hosting, Unified Messaging, remote data storage, network security, data transport and other Internet Protocol-based services designed for the unique needs of small to midsized businesses.
