AT&T U-verse TV Expands HD And Ethnic Programming.


U-verse TV Adds 12 New Channels, Including Filipino, South Asian and Vietnamese Content

:T) today announced several expansions to its robust AT&T U-verse TV channel lineup, including new High Definition (HD) networks and Filipino, South Asian and Vietnamese programming options.

Beginning Oct. 15, U-verse TV will add History Channel HD and Lifetime Movie Network HD to its HD lineup. With these networks, U-verse TV subscribers with the HD service option have access to a lineup of more than 30 HD channels.

AT&T has also expanded its in-language and international offerings for its diverse customer base with several new U-verse TV subscription options:

* The AT&T U-verse TV Filipino Package, available for $21 a month, features GMA GMA

 Pinoy TV Pinoy TV Music Lounge is a television programme on Channel 31 Melbourne dedicated to Filipino-Australians living in Melbourne, Sydney and Darwin. It features cooking, news, Filipino music, cultural events and local Filipino music talents in Australia.  and The Filipino Channel. GMA Pinoy TV can be ordered a la carte for $13 a month, and The Filipino Channel is available a la carte for $12 a month.

* TV Asia TV Asia is North America's first coast-to-coast entertainment and information channel for the community from the Indian subcontinent. TV Asia airs regularly scheduled programming in Hindi, English, Gujarati other regional languages, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  and SET Asia, which feature programming for the South Asian community, are available a la carte for $15 each a month.

* SBTN SBTN Saigon Broadcasting Television Network (Vietnam)  (Saigon Broadcasting Television Network Saigon Broadcasting Television Network or SBTN in short is the first 24-hour Vietnamese language channel geared towards the Vietnamese diaspora. It's currently available on many cable networks in the United States and Canada as well as through satellite dish DirectTV. ), the first 24-hour Vietnamese-language channel, is available for $15 a month.

The new international networks will be available on U-verse TV starting Oct. 23. In addition to these subscription options, AT&T U-verse TV offers the Japanese-language network, TV Japan, for $25 a month and Paquete Espanol, a package of Spanish-language channels, for $10 a month.

The U-verse TV linear channel lineup has expanded, as well, with the addition of several new networks and digital music channels. On Oct. 15, depending on their package subscription, U-verse TV customers will gain access to BYU BYU Brigham Young University
