AT&T Solutions, Accugraph sign license agreement.

EL PASO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 7, 1996--Accugraph Corp. (NASDAQ/NMS:ACCUF)(TSE:ACU.A) Friday announced it has entered into an exclusive license agreement with AT&T Solutions to develop network management software applications aimed at assisting global businesses to tackle the multi-vendor inventory and provisioning problem.

The agreement calls for AT&T Solutions and Accugraph to jointly develop an inventory-tracking and provisioning-management application for enterprise management. The product will be designed as part of AT&T's OneVision(TM) architecture, which uses "best-of-class" technologies to develop an integrated enterprise network and system management package.

The architecture is designed to allow network managers to meet specific service-level and business objectives. OneVision(TM) corporate participants include Hewlett-Packard, Lucent Technologies, MAXM Systems Corp., Remedy Corp., Cisco, Bay Networks and others. The integrated package is used in support of the outsourcing practice of AT&T Solutions and the AT&T Solutions Global Client Support Centers.

Deborah Follett, director of strategic planning for AT&T Solutions, said "This agreement demonstrates our continued leadership in managed services by filling a void in enterprise network management software. We have been working with Accugraph for some time, since their open-system software tools are part of our current network management architecture."

Follett also said Accugraph's professional services organization, Accugraph Services Group in Huntsville, Ala., has been a member of the AT&T Solutions development team involved in customization of Accugraph software to provide special AT&T features. "Accugraph and AT&T Solutions will begin work immediately on developing three integrated applications: inventory tracking, asset management, and 'desktop-to-desktop' network provisioning," said Follett.

Ron Munden, senior vice president of Accugraph, said the enterprise network today is the framework for a company's competitiveness. Munden stated Accugraph's open-system philosophy parallels that of the AT&T Solutions outsourcing practice. "Our business plan is headed in the same direction as the AT&T Solutions' 'one size fits one' business model. We will develop products to support these objectives."

Follett added, "Accugraph is contributing products to the enterprise management market which are plug-and-play, customized, and scalable for users. In many cases, it becomes more efficient for clients to buy the technology than to build and maintain it."

Accugraph is a leading developer of network information software. The company currently markets its MT900 Total Solution Series software products directly to businesses and the telecommunications industry. The technology uses a vendor-independent database interface and graphics to allow a network manager or engineer to "see" the elements on an enterprise network and zoom in on any failing components. The software architecture also interfaces to additional applications, such as network provisioning and trouble- ticketing.
