AT&T Secures New Contract with Shawnee Public Schools; Oklahoma School District Gets Connected With New Data Networking Solution.

:T) today announced a new contract to provide data and networking services to Shawnee Public Schools, a public school district serving Shawnee, Okla., with one early childhood center, four elementary schools, one middle school, one high school and one alternative school.

Under the terms of the five-year contract, AT&T will deliver a customized switched metro Ethernet A metropolitan area network (MAN) that uses a 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) backbone rather than SONET/SDH links. Ethernet offers a more economical alternative.
