AT&T OFFERS SPECIAL RATES TO CANADA ON FEBRUARY 13

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Feb. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T (NYSE: T) today announced that on Feb. 13, it will run a special rates promotion for consumers who call Canada. All day Saturday, consumers can make direct- dial calls to Canada at the night rates, which are on the average 20 to 25 percent lower than AT&T day rates to Canada. A 10-minute, direct- dial call from the U.S. mainland to Canada will cost from 74 cents to $3.31, depending on the call's distance.
AT&T inaugurated international direct-dial services to Canada on March 21, 1952 and today remains dedicated to providing premier international long distance services to more than 280 countries and areas worldwide.
If consumers find that their local telephone company does not provide international direct-dial service in their area, an AT&T operator will place their call. Consumers seeking more information can call, toll-free, 1-800-874-4253.
