AT&T Launches Digital PCS Personal News; Customized News, Weather, Sports and More Sent Directly to AT&T Wireless Customers' Digital PCS Phones.


REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 3, 1999--

AT&T today announced the launch of a customized news and information service, AT&T Digital PCS (1) (Personal Communications Services) Refers to wireless services that emerged after the U.S. government auctioned commercial licenses in 1994 and 1995. This radio spectrum in the 1.  Personal News.

AT&T Digital PCS customers can have from one to nine daily news and information headlines sent directly to their wireless phones, depending on the plan they choose. Channel.

-- Personal News: three services per day (in addition to the

complimentary selection) for $3.99 per month from any of more

than 30 customized content services.

-- Advanced Personal News: eight services per day (in addition to

the complimentary selection) for $7.99 per month from any of more

than 30 customized content services.

AT&T Digital PCS Personal News -- powered by III -- offers a variety of news and information services for a customer to choose from to suit virtually every need, including:

-- News: Headlines and highlights, national news, political news,

international news, technology news, breaking news, health news,

and company-specific news.

-- Business: Headlines and highlights, stock quotes, mutual fund

quotes, and breaking business news.

-- Weather: National and/or local/regional weather highlights, daily

forecasts, three-day forecasts, current weather, and severe

weather watch.

-- Sports: Headlines and highlights, professional and college teams'
