AT&T Labs to Explore Netergy's Open Service Creation Environment,

IP Network Services and Network Appliances Technology for a

New 802.11 Wireless Phone

) today announced that AT&T Labs will trial a wireless home networking service with Netergy's VoIP technology and service-support offerings to explore performance of next-generation QOS - based multimedia over a local cable network. AT&T Labs will use IP Network Services, including the Hosted iPBX and Unified Messaging Having access to e-mail, voice mail and faxes via a common computer application or by telephone. For example, unified messaging may send faxes and digitized voice mail to a mail server that turns them into e-mail attachments. , and the open Service Creation Environment. Additionally, AT&T Labs will work with Netergy to prototype an IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, New York, www.ieee.org) A membership organization that includes engineers, scientists and students in electronics and allied fields.  802.11 phone using Netergy's Network Appliances Technology Audacity-T2(TM) Processor, the first "cordless" telephone to seamlessly interface with a cable environment.
