(NYSE: T) today announced that it has contributed more than $520,000 to The National Arbor Day Foundation through its recent campaign to encourage residential and small business customers to sign up for its AT&T eBill service and to opt out of receiving paper bills. In July 2005, AT&T pledged to contribute $1 for each new eBill activation with the cancellation of paper statements through March 31 of this year. E[acute accent]Since the campaign's launch last summer, more than 400,000 trees have been planted in national forests as a result of AT&T's contribution to The National Arbor Day Foundation. Over the course of their lifetime, these trees will provide an environmental and economic benefit worth nearly $65 billion.
