AT&T Announces Long-Distance Price Cuts in Tennessee.

AT&T today reduced Tennessee Tennessee, state, United States
Tennessee (tĕn`əsē', tĕn'əsē`), state in the south-central United States.
 in-state long-distance prices for residential calling plan calls and for calls on the basic rate schedule for business. Annual savings to AT&T long-distance users in Tennessee is approximately $700,000.

AT&T has reduced Tennessee in-state long-distance prices at least six times since April 1999. Annual savings to Tennessee AT&T customers is estimated at $20 million dollars.

Price savings from these long-distance reductions have benefited consumers and businesses alike. Today's price cuts will benefit both again. Existing AT&T residential customers on an optional calling plan called AT&T One Rate(R) Plus 5 cents Sundays that now offers 10-cent per minute calls both in-state and out-of-state, will see their per minute charges reduced to 7 cents for in-state long-distance between local calling areas (interLATA) and to 9 cents for in-state long-distance calls within local calling areas (intraLATA calls). The plan offers out-of-state calling for 5 cents a minute on Sundays.

Basic rates for in-state business long-distance calls for most mileage MILEAGE. A compensation allowed by law to officers, for their trouble and expenses in travelling on public business.
