AT&T AND OLSON-TRAVELWORLD OFFER BARCELONA OLYMPIC FAMILY PROGRAM

AT&T AND OLSON-TRAVELWORLD OFFER BARCELONA OLYMPIC FAMILY PROGRAM
MORRISTOWN, N.J., June 18 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T (NYSE: T) and Olson- Travelworld today announced a special travel package that will assist families of athletes who wish to attend the 1992 Summer Olympic Games. The package, the Barcelona Olympic Family Program, is designed to make difficult-to-obtain accommodations available to athletes' families at a moderate price.
The program is endorsed by the United States Olympic Committee and includes complementary event tickets, Olympic gifts and apparel, accommodations and transportation to event sites.
"We know that many family members have sacrificed personally to put their son or daughter, brother or sister, husband or wife on the road to Olympic success. It is only natural that our athletes would want these special people in Barcelona for their moment of glory," said Joe Ramondini, director of Olympic Marketing, AT&T Global Consumer Services. "We are pleased to assist team members who want to make their families part of this once-in-a-lifetime event."
Eligible participants in the Barcelona Olympic Family Program must have a direct personal relationship with a U.S. Olympic Team member. This includes relatives, spouses, companies and close friends.
Family Programs begin in Barcelona on various dates throughout the two-week 1992 Summer Games (July 25-Aug. 9), depending on how long the person wants to stay. For as little as $1,075, plus airfare, a relative or friend can spend five days enjoying the Olympic Games and a variety of activities designed just for participants. Programs are available for up to 21 days.
"We are proud to be able to offer such an attractive package to families and close friends of our U.S. team," said David Elmore, chairman, Olson-Travelworld. "We are grateful for AT&T's generous participation in the program. It helps us provide these specially priced packages and makes it easier for families to attend the Olympic Summer Games."
