 AT&T ADDS JAPAN SERVICE FOR CALLING CARD HOLDERS
 MORRISTOWN, N.J., Aug. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T Calling Card holders


can now use their cards to place calls automatically in Japan. Prior to this announcement, AT&T Calling Card customers could only place calls in Japan with the assistance of an operator. The service will make it easier for travelers in Japan to call not only the United States but also around the world.
 With this service, AT&T Calling Card users who are in Japan can place calls to any country to which KDD provides service. The calls can be made from any touch-tone phone, without the assistance of an operator. For calls from Japan to the United States only, the AT&T cardholder will pay AT&T prices. For calls to other countries, AT&T cardholders will pay KDD prices. The charges for the calls will appear on the AT&T Calling Card bill in dollars.
 A KDD customer in the United States will be able to place domestic and international calls from touch-tone phones over AT&T's network. For calls to Japan, KDD customers will pay KDD prices. For calls within the United States or to other countries, KDD customers will pay AT&T prices. The charges will appear on the KDD bill in yen.
