ASU receives $1.75m for business incubator.


The U.S. Department of Commerce recently awarded Arkansas State University at Jonesboro's Arkansas Biosciences Institute a $1.75 million grant.

The grant will be used for the completion of the Arkansas State Biosciences Institute Commercial Innovation Center, which is a business incubator, according to an ASU news release.

"Growing technology-focused small businesses in the key to long-term prosperity for the region," U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke said in the news release. "The Center will serve as a tech-business incubator.
