AN EVER-GROWING NUMBER OF COLLEGES AND universities are putting special emphasis on environmental concerns such as global warming global warming, the gradual increase of the temperature of the earth's lower atmosphere as a result of the increase in greenhouse gases since the Industrial Revolution. , water conservation, and finding alternatives to fossil fuels. Its present name was adopted in 1958.  has launched a universitywide effort to educate these future environmental protectors with the establishment the world's first School of Sustainability.
