ASTM course focus is rubber testing.


"Rubber testing: Selecting, performing and interpreting ASTM ASTM

 rubber test methods," is the title of a technical and professional training course sponsored by ASTM International ASTM International (ASTM) is an international standards developing organization that develops and publishes voluntary technical standards for a wide range of materials, products, systems, and services.  (American Society for Testing and Materials).

This course will be held November 1-2 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center The David L. Lawrence Convention Center is a 1.5 million square foot convention, conference and exhibition building in Downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. Completed in 2003, it sits on the southern shoreline of the Allegheny River.  in Pittsburgh, PA, in conjunction with the Rubber Division, ACS (Asynchronous Communications Server) See network access server. , Fall 168th Technical Meeting and Rubber Expo '05; and again on December 8-9 in Dallas, TX, in association with the ASTM Committee D11 on Rubber and Committee D24 on Carbon Black meetings.

The most common rubber test methods used in the rubber industry today will be the focus of this course. Instructors will discuss the nature of the tests, why the tests are performed, interpretation of test results and how this information can be used to improve rubber fabrication fabrication (fab´rikā´shn),
n the construction or making of a restoration.

This class is designed for rubber technologists, rubber chemists, compounders, process engineers, laboratory managers, supervisors and technicians, quality assurance managers and engineers, shop foremen, technical sales people, rubber producers and users, and anyone with the need to understand these commonly used ASTM test methods.

The attendance fee for this course is $985 for Rubber Division members and $1,200 for non-members at the Pittsburgh class. The attendance fee for the Dallas class is $795. These fees include a copy of ASTM Manual 39 - Basic Rubber Testing: Selecting Methods for a Rubber Test Program, breakfast and refreshments re·fresh·ment
